Only what we can document
- Biology and facts come from the Institute of Marine Research, Store norske leksikon (the Norwegian encyclopedia) and other specialist sources.
- Regulations come only from the authorities: the Directorate of Fisheries, regulations on Lovdata, the Norwegian Environment Agency and the County Governor. Each species page shows what has been checked, and when. Freshwater rules are not covered yet.
- Fishing tips must be confirmed by at least three independent sources of experience. The same author on several websites counts as one source. Tackle advice, such as hook size and colour, may rest on a single source of experience and is marked as such.
